IOL VR
The eye is one of the most important of our 5 sense organs. As you get older and the effects of your environment, vision defects may occur. Even if our patients do not postpone their eye examination, they may sometimes postpone situations that require surgery due to their concerns.
Promising inventions and changes continue to occur in the field of health with developing technologies.
Veni Vidi follows developing technologies As Eye Group, our aim is to provide a unique experience for patients who have not had surgery before or who are hesitant to undergo surgery, to enable them to observe the surgery environment. Thanks to the Smart Lens VR glasses, we offer the opportunity to experience cataract surgery as if in the operating room environment, with 360 degrees, that is, 2 different viewing angles. In this way, patients overcome their fears and prejudices against surgery. This product was developed as a result of the joint work of software engineers and ophthalmologists. Video footage, various animation images and sound recordings recorded in the operating room environment during cataract surgery have started to be run on the Oculus Quest 2 device, thanks to software engineers. In this way, patients had the chance to experience Smart Lens VR. Patients who are afraid of the operation process and want to be informed about this process can experience the 360-degree operating room environment thanks to the VR glasses they wear. What makes our Smart Lens VR device different from the video viewing experience is that it is a technology that both observes from the perspective of the operating room staff and shows the operating room in general. In other words, while this product informs our patients about cataract surgery and smart lenses, it also provides an interactive experience. While experiencing this perspective, patients can switch to the desired angle by clicking on various icons in the image with the VR device's remote control. Additionally, this VR experience can also switch between operation recovery images. This experience lasts at least 6 minutes, depending on the person's choices. Smart Lens VR can be experienced by people with advanced cataracts and refractive errors, with or without the prescription glasses they use in their daily lives.
