Eye Tremor (Nystagmus)
It is called eye tremor (nystagmus) that occurs involuntarily. Nystagmus is usually congenital.
With the rapid phase of eye tremor, the eyes suddenly shift and quickly return to their place. Although vision is initially better, changes in head position are observed due to the shift in the eyes.
An ophthalmologist will also help in the diagnosis of those related to the eye.
Ophthalmological disorders are also seen along with eye tremor and nystagmus. Lasik surgery and strabismus operations may be successful during the treatment process. Operation is very useful for people with eye disorders and helps eliminate vision problems.

How is Eye Tremor Treated?
Although eye tremor usually causes discomfort in people, it does not affect the person's daily life. The main causes of eye tremor are often related to a person's lifestyle. Briefly speaking, sleep disorders and insufficient sleep, excessive caffeine and alcohol consumption, B12 deficiency and spending too much time in front of the computer and television may be the causes of periodic eye tremors. If the eye tremor problem continues for a long time, especially if it lasts more than 3 weeks, the person can consult a doctor. As a result of the tests performed, it is revealed whether the main cause of the person's illness is caused by the other diseases listed above or another problem. Although there is no direct test method to determine the cause of this disorder, the patient can be diagnosed after listening to the patient's past health history, MRI and neurological examinations. As a result of the triggers made by the physician, it is determined whether there is a different eye disease that causes eye tremor as a symptom.
Since the treatment of eye tremor cannot be due to a single cause, it is not correct to talk about a single treatment method. If eye tremor is accompanied by a different eye disease, treatment is started for the detected eye disease. At this point, it is important to make a diagnostic distinction between the eye tremor problem. After the diagnosis is made, medications, drop therapy, glasses, lenses or, when deemed necessary, surgery are the treatments applied to these patients.
